If you choose to run away and elope, you can still involve your kids in your new marriage. Have your kids help you prepare by choosing something special that you can have with you at your elopement ceremony. Maybe they help you pick out your dress, tie, shoes, or even your wedding band. This will let them know that you will be thinking about them on the day of.

Call your children or leave them a note to read on the morning of your ceremony. This will help them to feel close to you on your big day. You can even choose to have a videographer livestream the ceremony for them so that they can watch with you.
