Top Songs for your Small Wedding

One of the toughest choices that our couples have is their song choices! Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We’ll walk you through what opportunities for songs you may have and then what our favorite songs are! Each of these songs will still be beautiful on various instruments.

We recommend Guitar, Ukulele, Harp, or Violin — read more about choosing your musician here!

What songs will you need to choose?

There are several moments that will be so special and you will want to make them personal. This first song that you will need to choose is the processional. This song is the moment that you will walk down the aisle and lock eyes for the first time. It is overwhelmingly romantic, so choose a song that may mean something to the two of you.

You can choose to include songs during the ceremony as well. While this is not necessary, some couples choose to have instrumental music strung while they say their vows. Other couples choose to pause before they’re pronounced legally married to enjoy a special moment. Choosing to include songs during the ceremony is up to you!

After you have your first kiss, you will want a recessional song to exit the aisle to. This is usually more upbeat and exciting as a celebration of your new marriage. Pick something that you love and makes you smile! Some couples choose to go straight into a first dance here since small weddings don’t have the typical dinner reception. It is a really tender way to get that first-dance moment that you have always dreamed of.
