Why and When to Send your Elopement Announcement Cards

Eloping is the new way to get married! Between all of the craziness of the current pandemic and the ever changing restrictions on group gatherings, eloping is not only safer, but it is much easier and less stressful on the couple to plan. You will still want to get married even if you can’t have large groups of people there with you, so how do you make sure to let everyone know that you tied the knot?

See ways to not offend people who aren’t invited here!

After you elope, you’ll want to send out Announcement Cards as soon as you can! This will help people feel more involved and more personally included than finding out via social media. You may even want to have the announcement cards printed prior to your elopement so you can send them out immediately!

Keep your announcement cards simple — say something cute and sweet like “We Eloped!” or “I do, we did.” This will leave no room for miscommunication for people to think that these are a wedding invite. You can choose to invite them to a future celebration through the announcement card.
