Should I Do a Sunrise Wedding?

We love sunrise weddings! There is something so special about starting a new day with your intimate ceremony. It eliminates the waiting all morning and you get to have a reception brunch — yum! Planning a sunrise ceremony is much like a normal ceremony, but it does have some details that you’ll want to make sure that you think about!

When choosing to have a sunrise ceremony, you will need to make sure you look up the actual time of sunrise and if your venue will be open in time! Many times the venue will open at 8 or 9am, but sunrise will be even earlier. Talk to them to see if this is a possibility and if there are any extra fees associated with it. Once you get this approval, you’ll need to talk to the other vendors and make sure they have enough time to set up the ceremony.

You’ll want to see how early your hair and makeup artist can come get you ready before your ceremony. You’ll want to leave some buffer time just in case things take longer than you thought. You’ll also want to make sure that your guests will be able to get to the venue that early.

After your ceremony, take everyone out to brunch! It’s much more cost effective than dinner. Afterwards, begin your honeymoon early and catch a flight to your dream destination.
