Decide on Attire!

This is the most fun part! You get to be creative and show your personal style. There are no rules when it comes to what you are supposed to wear. You can both wear dresses or both wear suits — whatever you will feel like you look your absolute best in! You also aren’t limited to just white either. Of course we love the classic white wedding day attire, but we have seen some of the most stunning brides in maroon dresses and mustard suits.

Double up your Flowers

The classic, romantic image of a bride is holding a gorgeous cascading bouquet of flowers. Take this and put your personal spin on it. If you want bouquets, don’t forget to order two. We recommend going with a smaller bouquet because while flowers are gorgeous, you are the main focus of the day and we don’t want you overshadowed by two grand bouquets.

Often our lesbian couples will choose to get creative with their personal flowers. One or both can choose instead to do a boutonniere or a lei. Much like your attire, you have room to play!

Make two appointments

Double the brides means double the fun! You will want to double up on all of the normal appointments: dress/suit fittings, steaming your clothes before, and hair and makeup. Make sure to book your appointments separately if you are wanting to keep the big reveal a secret!

Should I have a first look?

Who walks when

The entrance of a bridal party into a wedding is called a processional — since elopements are completely non-traditional, they usually don’t involve processionals. Usually during elopements, one partner waits at the alter with the officiant while the other partner enters down the aisle. You can chose any combination of the processional; you can both walk down the aisle hand in hand!
