Including Culture on Your Wedding Day

Are you an elopement bride looking to include some culture into your wedding? Well, first thing is DO IT, we want all our brides to include everything important to them! Besides cultural representations being a hot trend right now, they make your wedding that much more special and unique. Many couples are probably wondering just how to approach these traditional and cultural incentives for your wedding and we the experts would love to help guide you through it all.

Keeping it Traditional 

Keeping it traditional can mean a lot of different things depending on your culture. This is a very common way for you to honor the heritage of your culture. It is important to remember this is going to look different for each culture!

For our couples at Modern Elopement we suggest gathering all the necessary information and things you need ahead of time because most likely this is a destination wedding for them! But, we also suggest that for anyone wanting to keep it traditional with a destination wedding. Even though we have sites like Amazon where you can get almost anything, sometimes those special cultural necessities may have to come overseas.

Using Small Touches

Sometimes couples don’t want to go the traditional way, but still want to incorporate their culture in some way, this is where using small touches is perfect. Doing their wedding THEIR way while incorporating little cultural elements that still honor their heritage. 

This couple wore both the standard wedding (white dress + tuxedo) and their own traditional clothing. We love how this couple was able to include their culture thru their clothing, which is a simple and small touch, but adds so much flair and uniqueness to their photos!
